Victorious Start: Golf Haryana’s Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur Event
From September 19th to 22nd, 2023, the Golf Federation of Haryana (GFH) hosted its very first Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur Golf Tournament at the esteemed Golden Greens Golf Club. This three-day competition saw golfers from the region come together for intense play, setting the stage for two separate categories of winners.
In the Mid-Amateur category, Rishi Poddar secured the top spot, while Gaurav Sehgal and Anurag Sharma claimed the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
The Senior Amateur category witnessed Virender Malik emerge victorious, with Debobroto Chakraborty as the first runner-up and Neeraj Wadhera as the second runner-up.
What made this event particularly special was its affiliation with the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), offering participants a chance to gain a world ranking.
The tournament was an unquestionable success, featuring excellent performances on the course. The event showcased the growing popularity of golf in the region and the commitment to nurturing local golfing talent.
