National Games: Delhi and Goa Set to Host Golf Events at Prestigious Courses
In exciting news for golf enthusiasts across India, Delhi and Goa are gearing up to host golf tournaments at renowned courses. The Delhi Golf Club, one of the country’s most prestigious golfing destinations, will be the stage for an event that promises to be a thrilling showcase of the sport.
Spanning an impressive 220 acres, the Delhi Golf Club boasts the challenging 18-hole course, Lodhi, which is a par 72. Additionally, there’s the nine-hole B course, often referred to as the Peacock course, providing golfers with diverse playing experiences.
But that’s not all on the golfing calendar! The picturesque beaches of Goa will also bear witness to golfing action, albeit in a more compact version. Mark your calendars for the dates November 1-3, as Miramar Beach has been confirmed as the venue for this upcoming golfing spectacle.
Anticipation is running high, with hopes that the national federation is actively working towards identifying and selecting talented athletes from various states for the National Games, spanning different categories, including mini golf, following the prescribed selection criteria.
This event, scheduled for a concise two-day duration, is primarily designed as a demonstration of the allure of golf. It’s important to note that mini golf is not a new addition to the sporting landscape but has been an integral part of golf.
Last year, golf made its debut at the 36th National Games in Gujarat, creating waves of excitement among sports enthusiasts. Now, golf is all set to shine once again at the 37th edition of the National Games, scheduled to take place in Goa from October 25 to November 9.
Golf enthusiasts and sports fans alike can look forward to a thrilling showcase of talent and skill at these prestigious courses. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting golfing journey!
