Golf Haryana Concludes Second Amateur Event of the Season
The Golf Federation of Haryana has once again showcased its commitment to nurturing emerging golfing talent by successfully organizing its second amateur event of the year.
The tournament took place at the prestigious Classic Golf and Country Club from August 22 to 25, 2023. The event, which was recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), featured a total of 28 participants competing in the Men’s and Women’s Amateur Categories.
In the Men’s Amateur Category, a field of 16 skilled participants vied for supremacy on the manicured greens of the Classic Golf and Country Club. Tushar Pannu emerged as the triumphant victor, securing his second consecutive win after his recent triumph at the Men’s Amateur Category event held at the Golden Greens Golf Club. Pannu’s stellar performance showcased his remarkable skills and determination on the course, earning him a well-deserved title.
Naveen Rathi secured the first runner-up position in the Men’s category, adding to the competitive spirit of the tournament. Harman Sachdeva displayed commendable prowess to secure the second runner-up position, further solidifying the event’s reputation for attracting top-tier talent.
In the Women’s Amateur Category, 12 promising participants contended for the title. Riya Jadon delivered an outstanding performance, claiming the first prize and underlining her potential as a rising star in the world of amateur golf. Yogya Bhalla, demonstrating remarkable skill and consistency, secured the first runner-up position. Prarthana Khanna, after her victory in the women’s amateur category event last week at the Golden Greens Golf Club, showcased her capabilities once again by securing the second runner-up position in this event.
